Understanding the Benefits and Mechanisms of Glutathione as an Antioxidant

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently been reading about glutathione and its role in supporting overall health. I understand that it helps neutralize free radicals and supports liver detoxification, but I’m curious about how it actually works at the cellular level.

Specifically, how does the glutathione antioxidant function in protecting cells from oxidative stress? Are there particular conditions or deficiencies where supplementing glutathione is especially beneficial? Also, how effective are oral supplements compared to intravenous forms or precursors like NAC (N-acetylcysteine)?
